The Wisdom of Fear
My new book The Wisdom of Fear has just been published on Amazon. It is my fourth book and the most ambitious in scope. Focused on fear and anxiety, it addresses one of the most relevant existential and clinical topics of our time. Who among us hasn't experienced these twin emotions that can lead to significant suffering? In this book, I present the latest information drawn from the fields of neuroscience, psychology, biology, and my clinical practice.

The cover of the book features an interesting photograph of my wife, Tina Johnson, as the fitted illustration for the title of the book. The foreword was written by my friend Stephen Wonderlich, a well-known researcher and mental health clinician, Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. I am grateful for his support.

The subtitle of the book, “From Suffering to Thriving,” reflects my intent to explain and depict, mostly through personal examples, how we can harness the energy embedded in fear and anxiety to propel us toward higher ground through compassion, curiosity, and courage. I hope you will read this book, written with passion and dedication, and that you will share it with others who you believe may benefit.
